Located in Hammondsport, NY, the new Glen Curtiss Museum spans 60,000 square feet. This museum features originals and replicas of Curtiss's work, including engines, motorcycles, cars, and planes. The design takes a literal approach: the first floor resembles a garage for his automotive work, the second floor mirrors the eight-cylinder engine he engineered, and the roof is shaped like an airplane hangar, reflecting his contributions to aviation. Each gallery offers a spacious environment to showcase a variety of artifacts. Suspended planes on the upper floors create an image of flight, with the central engine display symbolizing the power that keeps these planes airborne.
